1. Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and ensure timely availability of goods and materials.
2. Manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of raw materials, finished goods, and other supplies to support manufacturing operations.
3. Develop and maintain inventory control systems to track inventory levels, transactions, and cost.
4. Ensure the accuracy of inventory records and perform regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
5. Manage the warehouse and storage facilities to ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety regulations.
6. Hire, train, and manage a team of storekeepers and provide coaching and feedback to improve performance.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production, and logistics, to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
8. Prepare and maintain reports on inventory levels, usage, and stock movements, and provide regular updates to management.
9. Monitor and control inventory-related expenses, including storage and handling costs.
10. Identify and implement process improvements to streamline inventory management operations and increase efficiency.
