We are looking for a talented and creative Canva Video Editor to join our freelance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting engaging and visually appealing videos using Canva, based on provided narration scripts, basic scene details, and voice-over audio files. This role requires a high level of creativity and the ability to make sound judgmental decisions in video text content creation. Proficiency in English is essential for understanding and effectively interpreting the provided materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit and assemble recorded raw material into a suitable, finished product ready for broadcasting. The material may include camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics, and special effects.
- Collaborate closely with our team to understand the project requirements, including the narrative and desired aesthetic.
- Use Canva and other relevant software to create compelling video content that aligns with the provided scripts and voice-overs.
- Apply creative expertise to interpret the script and storyboard, making judgmental decisions on the text content and visuals to enhance the storytelling.
- Ensure that the final video product reflects the intended message and tone, and adheres to the specified requirements.
- Sync voice-overs with video content, adjusting the timing and pace to ensure a seamless audio-visual experience.
- Select appropriate music, graphics, and other elements to add to the video.
- Deliver high-quality video content within the stipulated timelines, managing multiple projects efficiently.
- Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry best practices to maximize efficiency.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in video editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing skills in using Canva and other video editing tools.
- Fluency in English, with excellent understanding and interpretation skills to ensure alignment with the project's narrative.
- A keen eye for aesthetics and details, with an ability to match video content with audio narratives effectively.
- Good time-management skills and the ability to work methodically and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and understand project requirements.
- Ability to work independently and make effective judgmental decisions on video content.
- Technical skills including familiarity with Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or other video editing software.
